Working for one company your entire career is not a realistic possibility for most people theses days.

Actually, the younger generation has a totally different outlook and approach for their careers in that they typically stay in a job and at a company for a year maximum. Times change!

You're all victims of capitalism. This is not a political statement. It's a fact of life. Being laid off by a big corporation is normal in this system. You've been so fortunate and should be so grateful if you've had the great fortune if working for one company for many years. I know I am. That's not normal. Layoffs are normal. It's not personal (to T-Mobile), but it is obviously very personal (to us). But we are numbers. We are costs. We are expendable and reducible. Good luck. Time to prep for a bounce back.
