Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What has become of good customer service?

It's disheartening to encounter individuals driven solely by financial gain, and it reflects the values of our time. Personally, I firmly believe in the idea that "if you succeed, I succeed," as I don't prioritize who earns the larger paycheck. As long as I'm compensated, that should be the primary concern. But then again, this is just my humble opinion.

This is precisely why it's crucial never to sell a product or service that you can't adequately support. In the end, it only results in dissatisfied customers.

1ksr+1otPYfly : if you read all the comments you would know that Dell hasnt kept up its "contract" with its employees. Looks like you are the "friendship" hires.

"Driven solely by financial gain". I don't even know what you mean by this statement. Dell is a sales company. They sell stuff. Of course people are driven by financial gain. Welcome to capitalism. Why should i care about a company that cares less about me. You compensate me appropriately and offer me the opportunity to advance my financial gains and I should provide an equal amount of work and outcomes. That is the contract.

"North Star" will have AI providing the customer service. It is what it is.
