HR and Comms have to go last - to “manage” the employee exodus. HR is planning for the week of Sept 18.
I’d heard legal went through very first week, though I don’t have confirmation or a reliable source on that.

There's been like 3 threads asking this. It'll be after Apple NPI. Which is the week of the 9/15 (though it is technically going on now). We'll be the last group (maybe?) and will probably take the biggest cuts since MIX is a very $$$ heavy org.
So, fellow Marketers be on guard around the 9/18 - 9/22. Our cuts will begin around then. Some of our remote folks have been put on notice from what I've been hearing from the leads, and a few people in Frisco have already ready been affected, so it's definitely starting.
MIX is the stupid name for Marketing. They gave Katz a grab bag of stuff, including product, so he thought “Marketing” was too limiting in scope for a name and found something ridiculous to call it.

The Apple NPI (new product introduction) is this month. The new products are announced on Sept 13. Preorder is Sept 15. Orders start on Sept 22. They will likely make cuts the last week of the month.
Apple NPI generates huge order for the company. They aren't going to do anything to disrupt the preparations for this.
