Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Another round in November? For Director level and above?

I was talking to a colleague (or say ex-colleague, we were both let go on 08/24) and he mentioned that there will be another major round in November when Director layer and above will be trimmed. This was the first time I heard of this. Anyone else heard the same?

If you received your notification on 8/24 it's time to look past T-Mobile and start putting your focus on finding your next opportunity.

I realize if someone has been working at a company for awhile it's an emotional experience to part ways, but the sooner you do the better off you'll be in the long run. Don't waste your valuable energy on T-Mobile.

Companies are not loyal to their employees and employees, in turn, need to assume that same viewpoint. Employment at will is basically a transactional relationship (i.e., impersonal) for a finite period of time.

Much success with your search.

Yes! Before EOY. I guess that’s the “ foreseeable future” timeframe.

They will definitely touch SLT and obviously front line managers.. less people less of a need for managers.. plain and simple.

I suppose it's possible here and there, but not as a widespread coordinated effort. A lot of this is already happening.

Directors have already been impacted and there's more to go before this is all done.
