Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Let me help the impacted folks, I went through it in January and it su-ks!

1- Normal insurance covers through the end of the month in which your last day falls on. Cobra kicks in the next 2 FULL months, paid by TMO and you use the same medical cards with the same coverage even on cobra. You can elect to pay Cobra for the months afterwards and use the same cards/coverage.
2- You are paid out AZ points 4=$1
3-You are paid out unused PTO time and accrue it until your official last day
4-You will get a check for the stock buy program if it’s not vested, I forgot the letters espp or something like that.
5-Sell your TMO gear on EBay, it made me feel better
6-Use the free service to get help with your resume

COBRA will be on you starting Feb 2024. You will receive the info from HR , usually the beginning of Jan. You'll have to pay the COBRA bill by the end of the prior month. TMO paid COBRA ends jan 31, 2024, you will have to pay for the FEB COBRA by Jan 31st or TMO will cancel your coverage

COBRA payment would be February 1st. You can call benefits and they can get you the amount, it varies depending on what state you live in and could vary per month. Mine was $777 for just me. If I kept my kids on it the cost was $1800 a month. Luckily they had insurance through their father also, so I was able to drop them off mine.

Thanks for the nice post! I have follow up. Lets say TMO has done its two FULL MONTH of COBRA thats end on 01/31/2024. By when do you have to choose cobra continuation and when is the next COBRA payment due to the insurance. Is it in beginning of the month of February or the end 02/29/24. If it's towards end, it might give more time to look for a job and get the new employer insurance while you are still covered and don't have to really pay.

Espp completes the purchase end of October. So it may still technically go through until your last day or they just refund you?
