What is the method of layoff communication? Are they doing mass conf calls, is your direct management contacting you directly, or are they just emailing you with separation information? Just trying to be prepared. For what to expect.

"It's been years since we've had HR people even qualified for this. Now it's just "success partners"
They haven't been called Success Partners in years. And they've slowly been disassembling the HR Org over the last year & since they placed the SpRint EVP in charge of "New T-Mobile" HR. Apparently Sprint being in charge of people and culture sounded like the winning ticket.
"Why wouldn’t an HR person be present in these meetings with the Director when delivering the news?"
It's been years since we've had HR people even qualified for this. Now it's just "success partners"
I've reported 4 directors/managers so far for their employees knowing who is getting laid off before it takes place. Taking the entire ship down with me lol. Forwarded a bunch of nasty emails to fierce wireless that I've received over the years.
I had a dreaded meeting with my director but I got a new team and was safe. Granted that’s my team and not all are lucky but it’s not always end of road if you have a meeting. It could be about other impacts.
I'm pretty sure that I've annoyed my Sr. Manager enough over time for it to bring hi. Pleasure to inform me of being laid off. LOL
No HR needed. The Laying off Director/VP has been given a script from which they're not allowed to deviate. If they deviate, they're subject to being fired.
Easy Peasy.

Most of the time in ETS and Digital (can't say for other areas), you will get a meeting invite from your Director. It will be just you and him. As soon as I saw that appear on my calendar, I knew.
Are they calling our personal numbers or through webex/outlook meeting?
Your director or senior manager will call you.. front line managers may not even be part of the conversation.. especially since they weren’t even asked any feedback from day one..
Carrier Pigeon. It's the only way they've figured out in HR how to get something out and not have it hacked.
