Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Strike in Australia

Looks like Chevron in Australia is going on Strike. The employees are starting to get tired of the lack of care for the employees world wide. MW needs to wake up and start treating people decently. He needs a paycut.

San Ramon has instructed ABU to not give an inch. A lawsuit was filed instead.

Go Aussie’s! We are with you, American executives are money grabbing narcissists. Who comes first? MW making another 10 million or a field worker making another 10K?

Any US mates got spare some rubber bands? ABU has ran out and not sure sticky tape will be suitable for my cash bundles.

I'm sure they didn't all get shipped home. Most just missed life in Perth. The big city.

All we're interested in Australia for is producing gas, period. We already spent like $100 billion there, we're not interested in training the people anymore. They only have two jobs, produce gas and don't make any mistakes that will be on the evening news. None of them that came over were stateside caliber anyways, they all got shipped back. And they talk funny. Paying the CO2 penalties is way cheaper than remediating the problems. If you're starting to tell yourself, "hey! this sounds just like Kasakhstan or Angola!", then Bingo! you're starting to understand Chevron!

Have a look at the Aussie PSGs. Tech staff can easily earn $500k/yr (AUSD). It is ludicrous.

Whats with the hate? Auzzies also want their US mates to also get better pay and conditions. All sounds like if you can't be Captain you may as well sink the ship. Personally I'm not in the IR scope and won't get anything but I hope they get every penny they are striking for. Im jealous for sure but good luck to them.

Striking Aussie workers get paid a sh*t-ton of money, and get lots of other benefits the rest of us do not. Go to Australian press to see details. Don’t cry any crocodile tears for them.

I don’t begrudge musk or bezos billions, they are true innovators and visionaries.

Why does MW deserve his 100’s millions? What has he done that is so revolutionary?

"Americans have been brainwashed"...How they get minimum wage earner hicks and hayseeds to get upset about the inheritance tax boggles the mind.

Americans have been brainwashed by their capitalist overlords. Wealth inequity is rising while ordinary Americans vote for even more inequality.
