Any idea on what’s going on this this? It’s been several months since we’ve heard anything about it, and they said by the end of summer we should hear something…

Anyone have an idea on how many people are affected. I am hearing about very few in GT and Marketing were impacted.
Just keep kicking the can down the road. SMH. Monday. To be continued - again.
marketing all hands. If friends here have other all hands info please share
- MOST marketers are moving closer to the business
- Global CMO, and U.S. CMO role no longer needed
- more info from Head of USB on Monday
- effective Jan 15
Used to be a worthwhile place to work but has just been rolling down hill, copying others to stay relevant
And not sure if it's me, but where's the WARN notice that coincides with the newest number of people getting laid off? 243? Or is that just tossed out to make even MORE people nervous enough to leave, thereby having less people to lay off? Unreal.
Especially with the part about “more impacted in January”. They just want us to be nervous.
Couldn’t agree more with “Disgusted”. The slow roll-out of death sentencing is an excellent way of keeping everyone motivated, says nobody ever
This is no way to handle workforce reduction. You would think by now Pru would've figured out a more organized, less dramatic way to let people know their livelihood is at stake. No I'm not talking about holding hands, but this day-to-day dribble of limited information is taking what's left of people's work ethic and stomping on it. And you know upper management is getting some type of package. So them "understanding" how everyone is impacted is rubbish.
Marketing got an all hands meeting for tomorrow. Any idea what’s going to be said?
‘ The insurer disclosed that 243 employees will be affected, according to a filing Prudential submitted to the state of New Jersey.’

How many more are they going to lay off this time? Pru is already notorious at layoffs every year! I can't believe Pru announced their plan to lay off 24-30% of the senior management! this is absolutely insane! I'm pretty confident they will lay off similar % for other junior level employees.
"Whoever writes Charlie’s emails is pretty bad and unclear."
It might as well have been signed "McKinsey".
"GT leaders scrambling with all hands meetings… not looking good."
Risk liaisons (now risk advisors) went from COO, to ISO, and now they're coming back to COO. What a sh-t show this place is.
GT leaders scrambling with all hands meetings… not looking good.
Agree, but likely not the fault of the person who wrote it. Charlie had to approve it and probably redlined a lot of stuff for drafts and revisions
“ Whoever writes Charlie’s emails is pretty bad and unclear.”
Anyone hear of any layoffs in marketing yet?

Any news on the impact in GT org
Tough times ahead. commiserations to colleagues impacted and fingers crossed for the rest of us. Know that work (and Prudential) is not everything you’ve got
There it is…
Heard more on Friday
Law, Compliance & Business Ethics were affected today
Multiple VPs in Actuarial got affected too.
Multiple layoffs have happened today. Underwriting group on individual life was affected. Hearing its mostly higher ups right now
Nothing on WARN notice. Not today
Is it happening today?
11/1
I heard they're firing everyone...
Heard that a lot of communications around this are going to be coming out in the next 2 weeks
earlier this year, they asked for volunteers. i think it was restricted to long-term employees, though.
Any high levels know if we can request to be laid off? Esp if we know we won’t be
Marketing was just told they would find out about a new marketing structure “in the next two weeks”.
Caveat is “you may not know everything in the next few weeks…but you would certainly learn more over time”
Anyone see John Oliver’s McKinsey episode this week?
I heard GT is gonna get cut by 50%. Too many employees, not enough throughput.
Lots of redundancy in GT between Actuarial and Finance worlds. I’m think a lot of kan ban teams will form to handle similar work (ie building dashboards, data transfer, data storage, etc). This will cause management layoffs.
I’m hearing Global Technology is having a big reorg rather than layoffs? Anyone hear similar info?
“Dec 4” - legit or sarcasm?
The uncertainty is very frustrating. I’ll take ANY decision at this point.
What departments/areas do you guys work in?
What's happening on Dec 4?
