Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

What criteria did they use to evaluate engineers performance

I have confirmed with multiple sources that they didn't receive any feedback from your direct manager or even the senior manager. So, how can they assess our performance if they don't even know our names?

Whatever is in Workday. Some people toot their own ho-n when their manager won't. Also, managers where asked who contributes and provided risk assessments. This event has been in the works for a year.

Before you sign, you need to READ the separation document. There's terms about the document being you waiving rights for further claims against the company, and if you do, you lose your package.

If you sue, what do you want? Your Job back? Money? If it's money, it's taxed and a large portion of it will go to the wormy lawyer.

I don’t think you can sue if the company is going against visa candidates. It’s their choice.

based on last round, H1B and green card holders are kept over citizens (at least down here). Even more important, there is always a position for the directors wife, even thou she does not speak english and there was a hiring freeze...

if they are removing employees based on age, visa status. This deserves a class action lawsuit.

If company is spending on your immigration, that’s another BIG reason.

Some Directors are too d-mb to understand the process.

"Directors are aware of your performance over months/years."

Yes, incompetent Directors who couldn't engineer a peanut butter sandwich and got to where they are simply because they got an MBA and have zero technical skills. I've seen how my director analyzes new engineers, and it has about 1% to do with skills.
