Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Zacks Research rates Intel as a 'D'

Value: D
Growth: F
Momentum: B
Overall: D

Value measures. Intel forward PE is 60. The 'PEG' ratio is the ratio of PE to growth. Intel PEG is over 9. PEG under 2 is preferred.

Intel revenue is 31% below what it was 2 years ago. The core business is in serious trouble.

Momentum. Recently, the price of the stock has come up a bit. Intel beat on the last two quarters of earnings. But here is the thing, Intel set the sales and earnings bar so low that it was easy to exceed the target. However, forward earnings estimates for 2024 and 2025 continue to decline. This is a serious red flag.

The CEO is out talking about a new big customer pre pay. He says inventory levels are starting to stabilize. The talk is very positive but the earnings and results are still in decline.

(disclosure: I/we are short INTC and long TSMC).

Wow a “D” i would have given a “F” the internal hype and “reasons to believe” are all based on bullsh-t and the continuing excuses of macroeconomic headwinds, the required creative accounting to not show a true loss, employees need to open their eyes these are all reasons not to believe. Pat is here to setup his family with generational wealth nothing more nothing less, i do t blame him i would do the same given the opportunity. Do not be a lamb do you own research dont buy into the talking heads that banded together to ensure the same story in told and retold in order to brainwash the mindless non-thinker employees. I have not seen a legitimate reason to believe. Government Chip Act money will not be as much as you have been led to believe.

@qej+1orChajE - employees have it portrayed to them that the company is on track to return to greatness… that they are just coming back out of a valley and are headed back to the mountaintops… many are believing like they believe the mainstream media… all is NOT fine, there are troubles brewing within and without… micro and macro effects in play…

The reason the stock bounced was all technical .
The long term probability to compete and make money as an x86 and HoC IDM and foundry is low to zero.

Pat and Intel have a better chance of winning at powerball

The earnings estimates look bad. What is the company doing wrong?
