Are most of the lay offs former Sprint employees? Just wondering.

Agree with the Beat Verizon goal point: It won't be possible now because outsourcing will ki-l the personal ownership and integrity T-Mobile employees took. Also agree about meetings now, where all they do is talk about what they want to do, but don't complete much in the process. Odd how Sprint folks seem to think their methods and procedures are superior. Proof? T-Mobile has adopted nearly all of the software tools Sprint used, and phased out the simple but effective tools that T-Mobile used. I mean, that MB must have cost millions, Atoll conversion must have been more costly. The trouble ticketing ways of Sprint for Ops is now becoming standard.. good luck fixing issues in the field. Yes, Agree, T-Mobile will never surpass Verizon. Especially now that Verizon will have ability to glean the best of the best from T-Mobile.

Never heard a Sprint engineer say anything good about T-Mobile tools or procedures. Everything was done better at Sprint. The question is, how long will it take before customers begin to get tired of things like increased access fails on their phones? The Sprint engineering is sub par... as most don't understand what a Link Balance is, or familiar with antenna patterns, and oblivious to effects of overtilting antennas. It really stinks. T-Mo was agile and scrappy. We had values like " T-mobile, count on me" and such. The Sprint folks lack so much, and they aren't even aware. T-Mo should have fired all Sprint managers and above upon the merger. The company would have thrived and had a chance to beat VZ. But that Will Not happen now. T-Mo cannot possibly beat VZ now. .. too much debt from Sprint, and that goal/vision to be Number 1 is no longer being talked about.

My experience since the merger has been Sprint people forgot how to work, all meetings no real work. I hear there is going to be org changes in TSD&O, AI is going to save us tons of money. Let’s get rid of a shot load of people and have a meeting about how many more meetings we will need going forward because that’s all I know how to do we can outsource the rest.

The problem is we gave management of t mobile over to the executives from Sprint who are incompetent. Now those same Sprint executives well take their chance seeing if they can run T-Mobile into the ground the same way that they ran Sprint into the ground. The worst part was they listened to the Sprint employees about how wonderful the Sprint way was when the Sprint way was what caused Sprint to fail. T Mobile succeeded because we did things differently, much like a startup. Sprint does things like a legacy Bell. No imagination.

And they told us there wasn’t an us versus them. Ouch. Good to know this is what our fellow Magenta folks thought of us. The original post seemed innocent and it turned into name calling and bull. Instead of being a rude, a lot of the Sprint folks are good people. And a lot of us worked our fu----g as--s off for a company that just let us fail. Do better, be better.

What is the difference between a pile of dog sht and a Sprinter? One is smelly, useless, and avoided by everyone. The other is a pile dog sht.

It should be the Sprint slugs. Ever since the merger, we’ve been infested with that cancer! From a failed company came a load of failed people. Of the dozen or so we have here, only one has been a contributor. The rest would just around and complain, talk about the processes they used at Sprint, and how much better T-Mobile would be if we’d just use the “Sprint way!” T-Mobile should never have assumed that burden; the world needs ditch diggers and McDonalds workers too, and those people would have been perfect for those jobs. But, based on their work ethic, they’d probably have joined the welfare ranks and be everyone’s burden.

Last few rounds were Metro people, so managers could staff with their own people.
Nepotism for sure.

Not seeing that at all, it has been more of what role you were doing and skill set, not which organization you came from prior to the merge. We had one person who left Sprint for TMO, had 6 years and still got the ax.

I've seen a mixed of both. However regarding my team of 7, the 3 Legacy Sprint folks were let go. The 4 Magenta folks are safe

Myself and a few others not impacted have very long legacy T-Mobile tenure and some short tenure Sprint also safe so it didn’t seem to matter about legacy brand or tenure but skillset or abilities that fit going forward.

Large numbers coming out of Bellevue/Legacy Tmo. Long tenured people as well sInce that's the only way to cut the amount of money they want to cut.

Legacy t mobile folks worried about moving the headquarters to Overland Park because it was cheaper there and not wanting to relocate. These layoffs are a way to do that without moving anybody.
