Intel can undercut tsmc by making chips at a loss. It'll still seem like good news to the stockholders though

Large customer doesn't mean a thing...
Apple was a 'large customer' for processors but ask Intel what was the gross margin.
Before that, Intel was selling Celeron to Microsoft for the xbox. Ask Intel what the profit per chip was on that.
I believe you will find that these large customers are able to get Intel to sell at a loss just to try and fill the fab a bit.
Customers also use the 'threat' of Intel as a supplier to beat down TSMC on price.
