Folks lacking Empathy

How to teach empathy to Id--ts ?

Have couple of folks who have had their layoff completed in ETS reach out to other teams asking for ETA on projects. And these folks have titles of managers, seniors. Like are you guys tone deaf, lost all your sh-t on what is happening within the company or simply lacking empathy ? Can I suggest more layoffs in ETS for these id--ts >

Pathetic. No serious work is being done till Sept, gtfo.

Honestly all work is on hold until October. Who’s gonna work while we have this dark cloud over our heads.

“The people who stop working should be the ones to go.”

Yea okay. Sorry for prioritizing my mental and personal health right now. Go lick Sievert’s boot a little more.

There is a pandemic of tone-deafness all around this company. It’s truly sad. SLT knew the impact that this bullsh-t would have when they sent out the communication, I certainly haven’t done a bit of work this week. My team will find out today anyway then I’m going on PTO regardless.

I mean people still gotta do their jobs. There is no period of mourning, give them an ETA.

So awful. I agree with the news to prepare leaders better with training, not just in the actual notification discussion, but how to conduct ourselves throughout this whole period. These are the kinds of difficult activities that leaders need to be great at. So sorry to hear about these awful experiences. Take care.

Agree 100%. Have seen several emails and messages circulate from managers, sr managers, even directors with no empathy, using smiley faces and explanation marks all while talking about their employees laid off same day or week. Toxic leadership at T-Mobile. HR and the executives needed to do a better job with coaching and preparing the leaders through the layoffs, and how to treat employees with respect. Also doesn’t help this whole 5 weeks of pending layoffs instead of doing it at once. Absolute chaotic company.
