The US gov goal to reduce inflation is to increase unemployment. All corps are doing this, media is in on it. We don't have a free press. WSJ even downplayed the layoffs and said it's an optimistic job market.

it's easy to circumvent WARN
According to the MVP of recruiting the recent layoff of recruiters was not due to performance. It was budget cuts caused by low hiring demand.
A large portion of talent acquisition was laid off on Monday and it was not due to performance. Budget cuts.
They are not laying off people. They are firing people based on stack rankings and these firings are performance related so they don't have to provide WARN notifications so it never gets in the news.
