Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What kind of selection criteria is usually used for layoffs?

How worried should I be about layoffs as a relatively new hire?

If you don’t like the TAC, you won’t like what additional movement to third world counties will be like when IT is cut more.

@knk+1omrHwCl way off. Check with HR to get the adverse impact data by category. Remember a few data points you pull out of your butt =! statistically significant results.

@hzc+1omrHwCl There were plenty of people of color that were let go. The DEI reason for not being laid off is a myth that some people on this website promote. The point above about how brown your nose may be is more accurate.

I believe the primary selection criteria is the same as it's always been... How brown is your nose?

Nothing worse then having to take a job at a company to put food on the table for your family knowing that the strategy is FUBAR and the decline is accelerating. Good luck son.

The odds of layoff go up by the square of your distance from processor or chipset engineering team or IFS...

20,000+ will have to be let by go. Sometimes 3ntire business units and other places it's redundancy and senior people that are high salary. If you are a DEI you don't have to worry.

If you see a mysterious 1-1 on your calender or a massage appointment, start to worry.
