Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox and Lexmark - The rest of the story

I noticed the past form past week was taken down (a 2nd or 3rd time I believe).
Anyone care to comment - how deep is the partnership between xerox and Lexmark ??

  • Lexmark is mfg the new A4 products - that’s pretty clear.
  • Xerox is fulfilling , delivering and servicing new Lexmark orders??
  • Lexmark is financing new orders through Xerox’s new financing arm
  • Lexmark (Ninestar) was / is mfg Xerox’s everyday toner

The lack of transparency and authenticity is appalling. What else ?

Xerox couldn’t make a tinfoil hat! They don’t make anything anymore… if they brought tinfoil hat making in-house the lean 6ix sigma and production costs would be massive.

This just in: Xerox to start making final tinfoil headgear. All employees get one issued for FREE!!! Get em while supplies last.

Just another slap in the face to the domestic workforce by Xerox ..a company that once long ago pushed the slogan
“Buy American..”

Lexmark is now manufacturing Xerox A4 printers; they are identical and just have the Xerox branding/logo on them.

There is a lot of truth to this original post. The Lexmark / xerox partnership is much deeper than anyone likes to admit.
A lot of headwinds headed Xerox’s direction !! 2023 finish will be predictable and decent given all the backlog that’s hitting the books this year , but 2024 is already shaping up to be very challenging. Hold on tight.

Xerox has its head in the sand chasing lower operating cost. Any accountability falls on the third party.

Good question raised here.
I’ve been with Xerox for 30+ years. We’ve always had partnerships with other companies to make our products … no big deal. But the question of how deep our relationship is with Lexmark is one that should be raised. Where there is smoke , there’s usually fire.
Lexmark is certainly mfg product for xerox (just go look at new products on their respective websites … they’re identical).
Given Lexmark’s ownership (Ninestar) and the recent issues with supplies and how they are being produced (labor) , one has to question if xerox should be doing business with such a company!!!

Disgusting! Kind of like slapping mayo on French Fries… but know what’s more disgusting than slapping logos ‘n mayos on things that should n’t be slapped on? Shareholders that don’t get paid! So eat up your mayo fries and wash it down with xrx brand magenta kool aide and all that should be heard from our red stained mouth is, “Dang… that’s the best Cabernet Savin-naww Billy ever tasted!”

Think of Xerox as a dealer, not as a manufacturer.
A very large dealer, a lot of American “manufacturers “ operate this way now.
