Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

It's Been A Year

Since I was laid off by T-Mobile, and after reading the messages on this board that indicates the current toxic atmosphere at T-Mobile, where people are fearful that they are next, I'm glad I'm no longer there. I got a good severance, took a few months off, got re-employed with a better salary, and moved on. It is now clear that the corporate culture as practiced by the executive leadership is nowhere the image. I would never work for T-Mobile again.

I was laid off at year ago after 20 years with Sprint/TMO. It was the best thing that ever happened. TMO was toxic and cared little for its employees. It was hard the first few months after being let go, but I found something so much better...and you will too! TMO is a loss cause. You deserve better than what they have to offer!

Glad you’re gone. Make like a tree and leave.

I have never worked for them as a FTE, but have done some consulting/contacting out there over the years. It’s an absolute horror show. They did you a favor. I won’t even consider using their service just as a matter of principle.

Layoffs are never fun, but the fact is TMOUS no longer deserves to have good people work for them. The way the company is lead has drastically changed. The values are now hollow and mean nothing. It is VERY sad to see because we all loved being there. But its not the same place, and sometimes it's better just to move on - whether it be your choice or theirs. Leaving there was the best thing for me. It was time. And it was a great choice.

It does sting a little and after 22 years there it was upsetting. Go through all the emotions, use the paid 2 months to relax, regroup, update your resume then start the job search.

Same. Moving on initially was hard. But was the best thing to happen for me in my career ever. If you can make it at T-Mobile you can make it anywhere.
