General Robles used to ensure the employees were well cared for, which ultimately ensured the members were well cared for. Missing the days of Gen. Robles and Gen. Lyles.

F. Your. Feelings, you are 100% correct. Admiral Syring is everything Wayne is not: smart, steady, honorable, responsible, caring, compassionate, fair, transparent, and most of all, honest.
I'll say it louder for the people in the back. Wayne is sitting in Admiral Syring's chair. Notice how Wayne pushed out all the other retired flag officers before taking the throne. Gen Kimiya, Simmons. Byrd never accomplished anything, so he was no threat. Add to that, all retired officers, Military Academy grads, MIT & Harvard grads pushed out before they could get close to Sr EMG. But USAA advances di----t kiss-a$$es like Moran, Seybold, Dunn, Teague, Vincent...satiation of ego versus true leaders.
I was there during Herres and Davis and had family working there under Robles.
Robles got USAA back to about 80 percent of where it was in culture before Davis went on his soul-destroying rampage. The 20 percent that didn't recover was IT and the investment company but we all know how that went.
Wayne has lit a match and just let the fire torch the core of USAA, all the way up to the units that were untouchable like NMS.
HR departments cannot hide the damage. They can try positivity propaganda but once you're hired the lies stand alone.
Wayne has to go and has to go immediately. The longer he stays the more damage he is doing to USAA. The members are already bailing because of the rates and they already know something is wrong with service. Most of them think the problems are transitory but that's not gonna last.
I find it odd that USAAA does not take into accountability its own actions. USAA is (or was) well known for having long term employees, but I keep seeing posts stating that people from other companies (new hires) caused the current issues. The lack of technology updates, non-compliance with regulatory/state laws, management accountability and allowing bullying/retaliation in the workplace existed long before new hires were drawn in to try and fix the situation. This type of change takes time to get better, just as it took time to become a major problem. I agree that now is the time for change but remember that this type of change includes everyone, and not just upper management. If raising your hand does not work, then present the evidence to your local/state official or congress. Now is the time to act. Get this done!
Regardless of the person in charge, the layoffs and so on needs to happen. Wayne came into a big mess that grew with Covid. However, his approach has gone against the core values. He is so dishonest and lacks integrity. He needs to go.
Joe is a good man. They should ask him to come back on a temp basis to right the ship. Fix all the mess we have been in.
