Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

When will retail employees be laid off next

I think there will be another round of layoffs for retail in the next coming months. Can we volunteer for a severance?

We don’t need more Retail resources. Freier just babies them because he came from there. The last thing we need to do is open more stores.

Jon Freier isn’t cutting the retail personnel. He won’t touch retail and care frontline people. That’s good.

Why do you need more retail resources? I thought our pricing was intended to drive customers to online transactions for service, phones, etc., not go to a store

Jon Freier thinks Retail needs more resources for whatever reason. I doubt you’ll see anything like the ongoing cuts until our ordering systems are fully enhanced. You should be more worried about going from a Mobile Expert to a Mobile Fulfillment Clerk. They won’t pay bonuses to glorified pickers or stockers.

Seriously doubt retail is gonna be affected by this, considering iPhone launch is coming. They need all hands on deck.

You couldn't sit till after these 5 weeks of layoffs to ask? No one is focused on that right now.
