Has there been any layoffs to field or switch technicians? Is there any rumors of those teams being impacted?

Not sure if it means anything but my timecard is greyed out as far out as I can see. Confirmed with a CEC coach however that his was too, at least for this current period?

None of Ulf's org is this week. Some people just make sh-t up for fun on here. No, field and switch techs did not get impacted today as someone commented. Entirely untrue across any market.
The new timesheets are always greyed out beyond 2 weeks from the day you are looking at it, so if you looked at it today anything beyond the 12th is greyed out.
In the 90's, most of the techs at PBMS were combo...Switch and Field. It's a perfect marriage as we all worked on the same platform (AXE10). Only issue is when a field tech gets comfortable in a cool, dry environment, they tended to resist going back out into the elements...Swops loved going out to the field...until they saw their first rat.

Some of us do know for some markets but overall next week is when the cattle are brought to the sla-ghter house. Su-ks but it is what it is.

What markets for Switch and FOPS departing? The Timesheet reference is BS, you can only go out 2 weeks from today anyway.
Half of FOPs will be departing today, they recieved notice. Most of Switch will be out too, 2 will be left to do both field and switch work.
HR here. Check you timesheets, if the next pay period is grayed out it means you have been chosen for separation.
If previous posts are correct it'll be next week.

200 sites per tech, that’s what they’re shooting for now. Been hearing that for a couple months
...next week. Some here, some there. Your job is going to get worse if you keep it or lose it. Enjoy the labor day weekend.
I’ve not heard anything yet. But the 5 weeks means it could come at any point. Feels like we are just waiting for slimmed down teams and at some point we will be gone.
