Good employees staying only works if it’s a headcount reduction and not a department or team closing.

Your job is safe if you are a GOOD EMPLOYEE!

That’s bull cr-p. I’ve heard of some really high performers that have been notified. One a recent PEAK performer. Even people who fully drank the kool aid are being let go. No one appears to be immune.

The degree to which each org is ready varies, this the end of September timeframe. If it weren't for the CEO's email, it would be much less stressful for everyone. But due to the depth of the cuts, they had to file officially and try to influence the narrative in the press, unfortunately. Most of this will probably be done by mid to late next week.

Mental as--ult while waiting. Is it me? Is it my business partners? Show up to badge in, keep business going. It’s such a sh-t show. We had a previously scheduled all hands for today. I pray they get it out there.

Things will start off slow this week because of some legal & HR delays, but we will have the sla-ghterhouse conveyor humming by Wednesday/Thursday. Thank you for your patience.

Temporary reprieve? Hardly, if you're one of the few keeping this thing working and not spending your working hours in affinity group meetings, bread and circus celebrations, etc.

Fingers crossed for all of the folks who did everything right and here's hoping you don't end up in the wrong column of an attrition spreadsheet.

I do agree with the move toward eliminating over-compartmentalization and siloing of functional groups, but I wish the reorgs had happened first so that attrition could be targeted to where it was needed.

Announcing a five-week uncertainty period for employees to find out if they flipped heads or tails in the world's worst lottery is among the more tone-deaf attempts at transparency I've seen in my career.

If you're a survivor, take this as a temporary stay of execution and begin working on a longer-term plan.

The warnings have been there all along: Once is chance, twice is coincidence, and three times is enemy action.
