Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Bank Risk Leaders Wasting $$$$

Why do we have bank risk leaders flying to Phoenix for a week in September? Why are the spending an entire day at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

Why are we wasting members money?

Why are we saying one thing and doing another?

Which is it? Why all the lay offs if we have all this spare cash to go site see and travel leaders around for no apparent reason (in the middle of an all important RCSA)?

Eagle days was the most id--tic concept i ever heard in my life. It was a cheesefest. Ok lets come up with some key words that we can remind ourselves about our daily lives and every meeting, we can revisit them and update them .

Seriously, i dont care about this fluff nonsense. Do the fudging job interact with your peers a bit and go home.

The same reason why ECIO paid out to fly everyone in for Eagle Days in 2022 Q4 and then gave 500 of those same people 60 day notices at the end of the NEXT quarter in 2023. This is just a drop in the bucket but there is no limited to their irresponsible ways of spending.

Executives are all using whatever company resources they can to enrich themselves. They know the sweet gig will be over soon; USAA lost money last year, is on track to lose even more this year, so eventually Wayne will be shown the door. Burt don’t cry for him; he’ll get his massive golden parachute, along with all the Members money he’s spent on himself, his travel, his fancy new mansion, etc. Don’t cry for the rest of the EC either; they’ve set themselves up to jump to a new gig, having traveled and entertained themselves lavishly, using Members’ money, to build a public profile at the expense of doing their actual jobs.

Some managers are travelling to hubs just to meet their teams in person.
