Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Asking for a friend.

If you are still at Intel and are there because you honestly belief the IFS strategy will work, can you explain why you believe that?

How can Intel beat TSMC who has lower cost, better ecosystem, more nodes, more tools, more experience and process leadership.

I studied the stock carefully base on this thread. Look at this,
https://www.zacks.com/stock/chart/INTC/price-consensus-eps-surprise-chart?icid=quote-stock_overview-quote_nav_tracking-zcom-left_subnav_quote_navbar-price_consensus_eps_surprise

The estimates for earnings keep coming down, but the stock price hasn't reacted. I see that NVidia and AMD are managed much better.

So, I sell Intel short and go long the others. It looks like an easy ROI since INTC is so over-valued.

Did I make a good choice? Are any of you long? Convince me I should unwind my position.

Life is short, nobody wants to work at a place where your job is a duplicate in three departments, everyone and anyone can challenge your work and you have checkers checking the checkers. And you are tasked with taking a hill that you know will never happen.

I just hit rule of 75 and bailed with a VSP plus retirement. Yes I will not actually retire but seemed like a sane move to make at this point, I will find something.

I don’t believe that IFS will work, I think the company is doomed, and yet I haven’t left because my skills are ancient and no one wants to hire me for my dusty ol’ skillset…

TBh I have friends who stay but they know IFS won't work. Some aren't able to get another job. Some think the company can survive even if IFS fails. Some are way overpaid. It means the productivity will go way down and add to the odds of a bk.

TSMC won't be able to meet demand. Intel will succeed even with all of the advantages TSMC has.

We have Stu Pann and I figure how hard can it be to compete with the best company on the planet... I mean they are humans just like we are.
