Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Anyone know when Marketing will be hit with the layoffs?

We're right in the middle of NPI and everyone is already stressed TF out. All of our leads and skip-levels have been sending our emails trying to reassure people without saying much else. I heard some management might get the boot and heard the studio side might get cuts as well.

They did away with Slido after Katz got embarrassed in front of the entire org last year with all the anonymous comments. Good times. But yes, they should bring it back and they won't.

Wondering if there will be a Q&A at today's meeting since it's about an hour (they usually go over like in the MIX meetings). Hoping they give us ACTUAL information rather than trying to calm and soothe folks with standard vagueness and "positivity".

Can't imagine what Peter has to say...oh wait probably nothing as usual. They should really bring Slido back for these meetings.

You all should let NPI sh-t the bed, because they are going to terminate you as soon as it's done anyways.

Do you mean Sept 8th, not Aug 8th for MIX?

Our VP told us MIX would know by Aug 8th.

Definitely getting the cuts after NPI. Gotta keep all those worker bees busy building stuff right before we send them on their way.

IDK how marketing hasn't started already since it's such a HUGE finance heavy/dependent org. The ads, pages and content we put out can make or break the company (esp. with a goof like Katz behind it).

But I've heard marketing will get big chop. They've been barking at us to cut back on studio/internal purchases for a while now--way before the announcement from Sievert. Projects don't have budgets and the "reassuring" emails the leads keep sending aren't helping much.

It's going to be an interesting few weeks.

I’ve heard marketing/mix/comms (whatever they’re called now) will be the last week. Not sure how accurate that is. Gotta keep the propaganda machine running.
