Being a remote worker doesn't make you a protected class. However, if you are over 40, you might have a case. There seems to be a trend, by looking at the jobs that were cut, of firing more experienced and professional workers (no doubt to hire cheaper, younger workers).
Contact an attorney first. Most will work on contingency in cases like this. If an attorney is willing to take the risk to file a suit, you will likely have a good case. If no attorneys are interested, take the package a be glad you got out before the company really started to fail.
