Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How’s our GPU business? Are we riding the AI bandwagon?

The Circuit article about Aurora supercomputer looks promising. Are we selling our GPU to broader AI companies? Even though we may not be able to compete with Nvidia most advanced GPU, can we compete in lower end markets?

Intel is a big giant machine. Not too nimble, very high costs and no staying power when entering new markets.

Intel's idea of entering a new market is to throw hundreds of heads at the problem and try and brute force it. Generally the designs aren't very good and it take a decade to build a core competency... so Intel looks at the numbers and says, 'my gad this isn't working, we are losing tons of money... better shut it down'. This process repeats and repeats and repeats.
