Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

When you start talking, I stop listening

"So, let me be really clear on this increasingly important topic...
...This merger is all about creating new, high-quality, high-paying jobs, and the New T-Mobile will be jobs-positive from Day One and every day thereafter. That’s not just a promise. That’s not just a commitment. It’s a fact."
This was the message T-Mobile (including Mike S) delivered to deceive and convince the government, the public, and the employees of T-Mobile and Sprint that the merging of these two wireless carriers would be a benefit to society.

John Legere resigned from the board about a month after the merger closed

I was one that got laid off shortly after the merger in 2020. Came back to work for the company after being out of work for 16 months and my head is now on the chopping block again. The worst part about both times is they tell you want teams are safe and the people not on those teams get to freak out and wait to hear if they are on the list. I hear 3 weeks ago about a call the they said a re organization was coming for certain teams. Then the email today. So now the company gets to cause my to have anxiety for up to 8 weeks while I wait to hear.

Typically, the Board and Legal approve layoffs.

JL is still on the board, but does the board approve the layoffs? Surely he would’ve abstained from that decision

That guy resigned 6 months later. Sieverr never said anything like that.
