"Thank goodness T-Mobile has the guts to announce this layoff, unlike at&t and Verizon!"

Really? Guts? You must be kidding? Mikey-boy and Bobble-head-Deanne have been laying off for over 2 years without saying a word! Something happened to make Mikey send an email publicly this time around... but it isn't integrity or transparency on his part.

Back office is basically any support team that is not customer facing.

Per national news, 7%, OUCH, that's gonna leave a mark! Thank goodness T-Mobile has the guts to announce this layoff, unlike at&t and Verizon!

Contractors were not notified. Email specifically mentioned reducing external workers and resources. Digital is having a team meeting this afternoon (to be announced). Some layoffs in Digital have already started.

7% from the email, unknown percentage contractors.

7%

But that’s weighing “corporate and back office” against the whole of the org.

5,000 is equivalent to laying off an entire HQ when you look at corporate.

It’s roughly 28-30% of the “back office/corporate” people
