Re: 8/26 employee su----e. Does anyone know which teams were slated to be laid off on 8/26, and/or which teams were scheduled to be in the HOB that day. Per WP email, employee worked in P&C and brought a g-n to work. TIA
The WARN only has to be filed if the round of layoffs meets the definition of "mass layoff" (read the workers guide :https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ETA/Layoff/pdfs/WorkerWARN2003.pdf)
The WARN you might be seeing is the May one and that expired 7/14, and so on 7/20 they started laying off the next wave (i being one of them) and our last day is set at 9/18
The 60 day notices happen the day employees are notified. That's why they are retained for 60 days...not because USAA is giving them time to find another position. Then the second WARN notice is posted the day that those layoffs become effective.
If you're looking to the WARN Act as a sign of what's coming...don't. The loopholes are numerous.
Might be in reference to this article. I just read it and came here to see if anyone had posted about it.

If you’re referring to the Warn Act, that would be from the May layoffs (after their 60 days).
Unless of course you’re seeing this somewhere else? USAA told officials IN July?
