For everyone that does get let go, congratulations. Best thing to happen to my group, months ago. 20+ years and I didn’t realize my worth, until I was forced to. We all found much better paying positions and a better culture. I no longer worry about losing my job daily. While scary, maybe sad and daunting….you will get through it. During that 60 days that you’re still on payroll, I HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT accept other work. They consider that as you leaving, it’s no longer considered a lay off at that point. READ THE FINE PRINT! This is something they don’t tell you, it’s in the fine print! They do tell you that it can affect your severance but trust me, read the fine print. They hide that. Good luck everyone, you got this!

"If you find something, make sure you do not tell anyone."
Listen to this advice folks. If you find a new job before your 60 day transition is up, DO NOT TELL ANYONE. I got laid off last year, and found a job almost immediately (within the 60 days). I did not tell anyone I was employed until I got my lump sum check.
On a side note, it is very scary and emotional to get laid off. But you will fins another job and realize what TOXICITY there was a TMO. In the end, you will be much happier. I wish you all the best.
If you get the notice. Don’t be too helpful on transitioning your responsibilities. Focus on your new opportunities. If you find something, make sure you do not tell anyone. If you tell TMO that you started another gig, you lose your severance. I told my manager to pi-s off and started my new job. I work 40 hours a week instead of 70. Good riddance. T-Mobile has really changed for the worst.
Right, and that’s why you’re back here.
Same. Was part of last summers lay off group. Took a couple months off. Found much better employment where I make considerably
More. Insanely better benefits and career advancement options. also no more toxic workplace culture.
Yes. Because T-Mobile's legal team hasn't researched how to layoff people in 50 states.
Our HR/Legal is Stupid, but not D-mb.
Bottom line...for those who get the notice...pay the small fee for a lawyer ..you will have to sign some big legal docs...make sure in your state/area it's legit..etc...
