Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Deadlines for Remaining 2023 Layoffs from HR

Must be announced by 9/15/2023 for outright layoffs to allow for 60 day notice and to assure severance is paid out and taxed in 2023.

Reductions that include lifting and shifting employees and roles off Allstate's employee rosters to vendors can occur with no limits in time frame within vendor contractuals.

I was just laid off with 10/24 being my last day... the day before Tom's planned company-wide meeting. Shouldn't be a surprise what the topic of that presentation will be.

It’s bound to happen since sales are way off target AGAIN for 3rd quarter. They can’t make up for the shortfall in 4 weeks. . Onshore cuts are their only answer as they lean into transformative growth which is nothing more than grow overseas shrink onshore. We knew we were just filling a void until they could fully implement their grand plan of a complete overseas front line work force. So many employees have left already. Everyone knows it’s just a matter of time bride you are disposed of . Start brushing up your resumes and good luck to all.

Express is waiting for the approvals and finalizations from HR before layoff announcements over the next few weeks.
