Springtown management at it again

Message doing the rounds tonight 🤬🤬🤬

❗️IMPORTANT ❗️

Guys we have just received a report that the Shift Manager on D Shift tonight has been calling out Operators who are staying and asking them to sign a form which asks them if they want a Union or not whilst he stands over them!!! This is despicable behaviour and should not be tolerated.

WE URGE ALL OPERATORS TO DESIST FROM SIGNING ANYTHING UNTIL WE SEEK LEGAL ADVICE ON THIS.

The management in their infinite wisdom expected employees to come into work after they've signed their Labour Relations form that states that you've accepted redundancy and no longer work for Seagate. These clowns and their made up employment laws think what they say is all that matters. That should tell people that a union is needed.

Why are management and HR so worried about a union in Seagate? If they do nothing wrong, they have nothing to fear.Managment/HR have never given a good reason why a union in Seagate would be wrong.

You may be correct but honestly I have yet to see, hear for myself or anecdotally one single instance of pro union bullying. I am neutral in that I am neither union member nor pro seagate. If pushed I would lean more towards the union however I have ONLY seen evidence of the corporation looking to squash a legal right plus they have often openly stated they would not stand in the way of someone joining their chosen union but their evidence is contrary to this. On the other hand the bullies on yhe union side you mention don't seem to block you from NOT joining a union. Do what you want is the message here and don't spread lies about either side.

Although i dont agree with what is happening, no worker should feel under threat and you have every right to join a union but on the flip side you also have the right not to join the union, you also have pro union bullys on the floor thriving in the chaos. Each side is no better. Il be glad to get out on Sept 1st, such a toxic workplace
