I didn’t feel confident in the response that “A PC today might be a finance person tomorrow.” I don’t have faith that we will just get plugged into other departments.

All you people saying we should "go back to the old Crown" don't realize that the old Crown would be in worse circumstances than it's in now in today's market. If a company doesn't adapt, it fails. The industry demands less towers and more small cells.
Our VP often refers to the PCs as MacDonalds employees. Mindless repetitive tasks performed by low skill workers.
Also a former PC here. If you think that PC’s are “obsolete”, then you obviously don’t know how your budgets get submitted or PO’s get processed. Have fun learning JDE.

Clearly you have never been a PC or value all of the CR-P that rolls down to them that no one else wants to do!
I think there will be MANY MORE than PCs in the near future!
Just to clear the air about the PCs being the Finance person tomorrow comment. Most of the successful people used to be PCs, and PCs are the ones who are doing the heavy lifting. So feel very comfortable about that comment.
But also, this shows the level of trust that management lost and the sad state of the culture where fear is now the motivator.
Half the "Project Managers" should be demoted to PCs as they rely on the PCs to do most of the work anyways.
Can we just go back to Ben Moreland's Crown, where employees were happy and shareholders made money.
We should just get rid of everyone who joined less than 15 years Ago and go back to our jobs we did then. As soon as people started coming in from the outside they messed everything up.
Former PC here. If you can be a PC and handle the deluge of insanity that comes along with that role, you can be successful in any position (inside or outside of CCI).
That being said: Project delivery, customer deadlines, and basically everything will fall apart if CCI gets rid of PCs. It's such a critical role.
PC position is obsolete. They are useless.
