- Don’t know how you’re defining your denominator, but 5k across the company give or take a k is where it’ll shake out with a lot of HQ roles -
nailed it
Yes. Corporate issued an rfp to our vendors to replace virtually all back office support and administrative roles.
Tommy...lmfao
Legacy Metro. LMFAO.
I was one of the legacy Metro people that got “rehired” for my job.
The others that were placed are inept to say the least. Corp store people are clueless.
Several are on warnings of reorganization, I will take severance and go.
Didn’t they layoff 100% of Metro field staff last year?
Only rehired 4% back and replaced the rest with store people?
I suspect this is a gross misinterpretation of the intent to lay off 10% per year through 2025.
Is 50% in one go possible? Sure...
Is it likely? Not to my eye, understanding impacts to all customer-facing systems, many of which are in critical expansion/upgrade status.
yes Backoffice/support roles going to be decimated

Here is to hoping this is just that... A rumor.
Why not 60%? The rumor mongering just keeps it growing.
