Since the layoffs, our a--hole manager has started to push us harder than ever to get everything done even though our team lost several people. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of having someone who obviously doesn't like his family to want to spend time with them expecting everyone else to sacrifice our family time for the sake of the company that treats us like cr-p. I refuse to take this and I won't be here much longer, I just worry how bad it will be for the rest of my team when I also walk away.

RSUs evaporate if one is laid off.
Not to concern you, but my manager was really pushing the schedule at the end. A two year plan became a rush. It seemed he was trying to get ahead of something... Then the team was eviscerated in the layoff.
Update your resume now. Download your pay statements so you are ready for the unemployment office. Exchange phone numbers with people that will give a good reference.

RSU’s and a company that is holding massive biannual layoffs to pay loan debt and dividends. That seems fine, should be fine, nope not going to be fine.
Seagate in spite of all the layoffs is still full of higher ups that think their job is to reign over people, rather than to facilitate the work.
A well-trained manager knows that his/her role is to make sure his team has what it needs to get the work done: clear direction, tools and equipment, cooperation with other groups, proper recognition for a job well done.
Unfortunately, those kind of managers are rare and are often the first to go in downsizing. The kingdom builders - many, many still remain. Seagate has way too many disfunctional kingdoms.
