Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

August 30th - Magenta Layoffversary?

In 2022, our BU (RNEO) had layoffs on August 30th. This year too it seems we will have it on the same day.
I guess it’ll be this way for few more years.

Anyone remember which was the first Business Unit to be impacted last year?

After the last Central RNE&OI layoff I remember Edwidge telling us we were the “chosen ones” to move the company forward and when asked who we lost we were told “if the affected people didn’t let you know then maybe you weren’t as tight as you thought”. What an absolute disgrace of a RNE&O VP. An absolutely unqualified pile of diversity dung sitting in the VP office in Chicago. Who knew you could get a VP job with a DeVry “education”. Get ready to lose your entire engineering and operations team in Central thanks to her and the id--tic area model. Customers can get ready for extended outages and terrible coverage in the midwest soon.

My team was told they could take volunteers. If that's something you truly want let your manager know.

Marketing announced their reorg and layoffs August 12 last year. They’ll have massive changes this year but I’m not sure if they’ll go first.

I hope I am chosen for the layoff, the culture at T-Mobile has changed, its not because of 1 thing but unfortunately it is the result of many things and the SLT. I have never I countered so many managers with no back bone, the lack of transparency. They have been making poor decisions in regards to finances and its the excuse given to justify layoffs, but forget about the over inflated salaries that are given to the people currently running the company. Please pray for me to get my package.
