GWT continues to lose more business.

As Gainwell continues to lose more contracts, one has to ask themselves when the next round of layoffs will happen. Less contracts simply means less employees needed.

The leaders can say what they want, but the proof is in the data.

Multiple layoffs without explanation.

Multiple lost accounts without explanation.

Multiple accounts at risk without acknowledgment.

Telling employees that the company is doing great. That things are strong for the future when they are not.

Not disclosing that Gainwell is going to be sold.

People if you are reading this you have to know that there is a strong possibility of layoffs in the future. Along with the unknown of a pending sale.

Gainwell employees I hope that you all have read this thread of comments.

The leaders and CEO haven’t told us the truth. They are intentionally hiding reality from us. Lost contracts and poor account relationships. Gainwell is on thin ice.

So the CEO bragged about being the industry leader. Dropping this much business should have them concerned about losing that title.

To be the best you have to behave like the best. Much like an alcoholic, the first step is admitting you have a problem. Gainwell needs to admit that they have a problem. They need to say it out loud. They need transparency. Then a solid plan.

They have neither.

Call it what you want. But each account was an opportunity to build success. To sell something new. Something innovative. And each one was messed up and poorly managed. It was a lost opportunity. And it was all led by poor leadership from the top down.

It doesn’t matter if you choose to blame it on the POS product sold or the pathetic leadership that sold it. The result is the same - lost accounts.

Other companies have better leaders along with better products.

Does that alarm anyone?

It’s one thing to botch a single account. But to botch 19 is a clear leadership issue. They are steering us right off of a cliff. And while they are doing it they are telling us how rosy everything is.

The future of Gainwell is dark. I see no plan to right the ship.

That’s a pretty poor foundation to be building a company on. Pathetic really that the leaders used that model and continue to hang their hat on it.

The company sold the same product over and over to maximize revenue. No significant investment was made in the core product. Leadership always said yes to the client and threw the employees under the wheels of the next deliverable.

At this point the foundation of the company business are those states who are still using the old Interchange system but aren't ready or willing to upgrade yet.

I don't see anyone being defensive. I think people are just asking for details, beyond vague statements. Most of us know things aren't rosy and want information. That's why we're on this site.

I am aware of provider enrollment either being lost or having lost the bid in Ohio, Kentucky, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, North Carolina, Maryland, and DC. There are several at risk states that may be lost in the very near future - Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, Alaska, Wisconsin, Indiana, Mississippi, Virginia, and Connecticut. These states are at risk due to poor performance, lack of deliverables, poor relationships, and failure to lead a successful team.

Folks this is just provider services. The same pain is going on with all other parts of Gainwell’s business. This should be alarming to all employees. The leadership failure to be transparent is equally alarming. Telling us it’s awesome today and having layoffs tomorrow shows us that we are of little value to the leaders.

If you have other options I suggest that you start exploring them.

Gainwell leadership has no concept of how to control spending. Look at how many people they just sent to MESC. The entry fees and travel expenses alone have to be in the neighborhood of $250,000 plus. That is absolutely ridiculous.

The defensiveness of Gainwell employees is laughable. Why get defensive when people point out the truth? It is the truth that Gainwell is losing more business than they are taking in. It is the truth that Gainwell isn’t doing their job and being fired by these states. It is the truth that poor leadership has led them here. It is the truth that employees will be laid off due to less business. Why is that so hard for Gainwell people to swallow? Don’t believe the lies that the leaders are telling you.

It is becoming obvious that Gainwell employees are mentally conditioned to think that Gainwell is currently successful. The data does not show that. It is black and white. Undeniable. Gainwell is in trouble.

So I would get ready for some more WFRs. Plan for yourself. If that means you need to leave then leave. If that means you will risk it then risk it. However it certainly means that Gainwell and all employees are at risk.

Hahaha. If anyone thinks that a constant drop in business will take two years to cause layoffs then I have a bridge to sell you.

Those layoffs are coming within 6 months. Gainwell is shrinking. They su-k and it’s finally catching up to them.

Mr Salad with all due respect it will not take 2 years to result in layoffs. You are correct that the new choice may not work out for the state and they may come crawling back. That’s not exactly saving grace. Instead it’s the state choosing the lesser of two evils, when they both su-k.

The lost business resulting in layoffs will happen more quickly. I personally am aware of multiple states lost in claims. If you couple that with the other posters info about other areas the problem is big. This loss will result in layoffs within the next three to six months. The leaders are scrambling to deal with this loss but they can’t change it over night. They may not be able to change it at all with their poor skills.

Saddle up for the town hall. I bet Mr CEO doesn’t even mention the lost business. He will focus on the voice of Gainwell survey and avoid it altogether. He will avoid it because he doesn’t have an answer for it.

Lost business doesn't result in layoffs overnight. Probably take a couple years for the layoffs to kick in (after the replacement systems are up and running). It is also possible that a competitor screws up the replacement so bad that the lost business is found again. Amazing Grace.

I am aware of multiple states lost in provider enrollment. I am also told by some colleagues that in their area that other business is being lost. It has become apparent that GWT is shrinking. They are losing market share. They are not bringing in enough business to replace what they are losing.

WFR is inevitable.
