Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What about EMEA?

Based in western, but haven’t heard anything. Nothings happening here yet, so everyone’s anxious. Anyone that has more info, are we going to be hit? Who will get hit? Any news at all?

I was "let go" some time ago. At the time you could find out who else had recently left by searching for entries prefixed by "zzzz" in the outlook email addresses list. Is that still possible?

Seems this wave is different than the one in February when it was publicly announced 5%. Now i heard that the management signed NDA and there are no announcements. So it is supposed to be "official" strategy to keep the layoffs quiet. In all the announcment of changes I have seen, only the people who stayed and will have more responsibility are announced to their new role. No mention of the ones who were fired. Usualy there is thanks for the people who are leaving. Also there is no official info about people who were let go, what I know is only from other coleagues.

Some AE's ,Channel ISR's,some TSR roles and various crossover positions gone in UK,Ireland with a lot of customer changes also.
This would leave me believe jobs are moving to India in the long term as more cost effective than Europe.
Customers will be able to self serve with CSG and storage goes through partner so less staff will be needed as we move foward.
Services will also go.
Of course this is just my personal opinion.

September time frame for EMEA in the Premier Organization - at least to be informed, I am US side and have had some insight to global teams that are affected by wfr. For the global teams it's looking like mostly US & EMEA rather than India, Panama, Brazil, APJ & GC.

Because EMEA has stricter employment laws, I think you will hear something starting beginning of September! Most countries in EMEA require a month notice before you are terminated some even 6, and in some is very hard to be fired. Based on this I believe you should start seeing some changes or reductions coming September with first effect in October/November.
