Panic mode way more layoffs are coming
Care Management Associates were let go from Aetna Side.
Not on the duty to warn list ! Hmmmmm
field care managers (aka social work) had their big lay off back in may. we went from 80+ of us covering medicare lines of business down to 18 for the entire country. we have multiple states with only one licensed staff person to cover all of the social work referrals and a handful of states left completely without coverage. it’s a mess and we expect more cuts in the fall as the people they have doing the audits also seem to choose the worst charts on purpose or nitpick. we have all failed the most recent audits when most of us have never failed an audit ever before. it feels like we are being pushed out one way or another.
but, for now? we’re “safe” (eye roll)
