Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Just quit

It's time. Nobody should be that unhappy at work. Quitting is self-care.

Obviously most people can’t afford to “just quit”. I do recommend putting in a few applications every week and see where it goes if you are unhappy. My search panned out and I put my notice in last week. Happy to be leaving USAA behind.

Trying to figure out how to manage bills, healthcare and life insurance needs is the top concern for those that have been laid off or fired from your job! There are so many people who have lost their quality of life due to the layoffs that have taken place over the last 2.5 years. It is so sad to log onto this site and see nothing but complaints about having to work on site 3 days per week. I do feel bad for the few people that fell within the 60-mile rule. Benefits can change every year based on the economy. It must be a shock for those that are new to the workforce and discovered what was originally presented could be retracted. I understand!! However, you have yet to understand the enormous impact to those who have lost their jobs. However, put yourself in the shoes of people who are living without an income. Not everyone worked in the Bank and severance packages do differ. Most would be happy to have full income and benefits instead of a short-term severance package.

Lol. Imagine claiming your “natural and human rights” are being violated because your employer wants you to come into their building to work 60-80% if the time, and imposes restrictions on when you can use your 25+ paid days off a year. Get real. 99.999% of people on earth have it worse than you. Honestly never experienced such entitled people in my life. Please leave and make room for people who would love to be here. You’re dragging everyone down.

OP. I’m sure it’s obvious to you, but for us quitters, will you be advising “unhappy employees” on how to fund medical and life insurance without being employed?

It’s a fundamental human right and it’s illegal to not be abused, harassed or discriminated against in the workplace.

I am not simply an “unhappy employee” when being subjected to the inhumane conditions of my natural and legal rights being violated.

Not everyone has the luxury of doing so until they get another offer.

You’re right! Nobody should be that unhappy with their own life at home that they prefer being in the office! Hope they and Wayne get your message and quit!
