Murray and Broadfield termed also. Massive talent departure under Glenn the Butcher leadership.
Agree on the Glenn storyline. Promoted Rosen, then termed him. Promoted Brandt, then termed him. Supported Edmonds to VP only to have termed. Supported Prejna to VP, only to term. Bendtsen has had major impact on casualty and now owns auto. Rough days ahead.
It's hard to watch a claim department that out-performed the industry for 2 decades in all lines of business crumble right before our eyes. Shapiro damaged claims so deeply it may never recover. He got rid of anyone who know how to be successful and replaced them with people he could control, and now there is no knowledge at the Sr. Leadership level. Bendsten is bright but she has no claim knowledge and has no idea how to bring loss costs back in line. She talks a good game but there is nothing there. We are bleeding money in casualty and her cost saving initiatives are clearly to blame. What has been saved in expenses over the past couple of years has been paid out 10 fold in losses because of lack of proper oversight, training, and claim knowledge. Pune was not the answer and we are all paying the price with a decline in out stock price. We let devil in and he brought us down!
How does one not leave peacefully when they are remote? Kind of difficult to create much noise or trouble if they aren't in an Allstate location. Mario, HR, or Bendtsen calls you up via Zoom, relieves you of duties, hangs up and terminates your computer access. Game over. I'll call BS on that rumor.
Did not leave peacefully. ? WTF ? No industry credibility, received role via nepotism, had the leadership skill set of a high school business class student and the strategic and innovative capability of a Georgia D 1 football player. Good riddance. You impacted auto in ways that will have long ramifications. Go whine to your prior leader.
Word on the street is that he didn’t leave peacefully
Insuring cars? I thought Allstate's future was insuring toaster ovens?
It’s a terminated leader over an $11b business that contributes to CR on massive basis. Allstate is auto company so yes, bozo, the departure makes a difference.
this means nothing you guys are over reacting
Another one bites the dust. A pure clown show this company is.
Craig Edmonds. I only saw it all connect, kind of hidden away.
Shapiro as Claim EVP accelerated digital handling (QFC photo and VA video estimating), which played into the hands of the body shop industry. Cool tech story and some headcount savings through efficiency, but a pure severity loser from inception. AND, those inspection methods caused measurable declines in customer satisfaction. Brandt (gone) and Edmonds (out) brought their Esurance fantasy to the Allstate side of business at large scale, and the decline in auto accelerated. All this was compounded by Wilson and Shapiro ambitions to reduce the expense ratio and do more work with fewer resources. There was a broader need for that, but cutting frontline field adjusters as you lean into vendors/photos has never worked. Claims is an investment, not an expense.
VP of Auto was never “in”. Was clueless from day he started job. Refund pay you did not earn.
Who was forced to retire this time?
Yes. We even missed this person's name. Who is it?
There are many changes going on that the little people aren’t being told about. Have to learn it here. Who left now?
