Do you ever just watch some Slack channels and be like “why didn’t they get laid off?” Some of the channels at our company are comical to watch. I do not know how some of these people are breathing, much less being able to hold down employment.

No, sure don't.
We need mouth breathers to talk to customers and other non-technical folks.
Sounds like someone needs to help me put five potatoes in my rear end since they no longer have a job or like to complain about our amazing talent.

I felt that way since first joining T-Mobile. There are some great, talented people, but also a lot of mouth-breathers.
They still have jobs because the can su-k di-k.
