Incompetent!
I truly despise Oracle for the sh-t way it treats staff (i.e. me :-), but I despise even more people who jump on a story without undestanding the whole truth.
At the risk of supporting my nemesis, what you'll find is that it is not Oracle, per se, that is the root of Birmingham council's issues. Rather, the implementation of the product. I believe the rec. was to implememt the solution and alter the council's way of working (no CEMLI) to standard Oracle SOP of the world. Less future maintenance cost and risk.
Some bright spark chose to not do this, thus they totally fubar-ed the whole project.
So, I hate to be the one to say, not Oracle fault but the customer for going down that route.
Read the details versus the hyperbole.
This is what happens when you offshore all your technical and support positions to 3rd world countries. The newer stuff is cr-p and the acquired stuff will follow the same path over time.
Whatever happened to SK's speach about how Oracle was turning over a new leaf regarding how they treat customers? She wasn't just paying lip service was she?
Brutal, even the Nashville project is a total bust. Oracle lies, says they will do something to “wow”, and never follows through. Clowns to the left of me Jokers to the right.
Doesn't surprise me.
Isn't that a regular occurrence with all of these bloated ERPs?
