- you will receive a severance package, a legally binding document, containing information about your lump sum payment, information about cobra, information about your 401k. You have 45 days to sign off. 17 pages. It sounds like a lot, but it’s a lot of corporate jargon and insurance resources.
- My last day of work is December 1st. I will not clock back in after December 1st. December 8th is when you are no longer considered a Centene employee. The week of December 1st I will get more information on how to return my laptop.
- You can use the remainder of your vacation and sick time. I personally got 6 weeks of severance pay that I will receive in a lump sum. I’ve been with the company for 4 years, - I am not sure if the number of weeks you get paid will vary.
- There are no specific terms of the remainder of your employment, there is no NDA. You sign your separation notice and severance package within 45 days of the day you were laid off. You do not receive your separation notice later. You get your paperwork the day they tell you you’re terminated.
Unless you are willing to out yourself as an HR person, or you have been laid off by Centene during the rounds before this: stop speculating, stop scaring people. We’re all scared enough.
