Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

BTS IT Layoffs

BTS IT is not safe, either.

We are losing a lead and a senior dev, both great employees.

No idea how they chose.

It's not going to be over soon, at all. Even if you make it past the December round of layoffs, who is to say there won't be more rounds in 2024 when the Star ratings come back miserable.

I can't speak to other areas of BTS, but the only ones I know about in my area: 1 was dead weight and the other was relatively new/wasn't catching on (from what others have said. I didn't interact with the person too much).

The next rounds will be strategic/salary-driven.

I am sorry you lost so many folks, I hope it'll be over soon. I am also in a small IT group but we did not have any layoffs yet, I hope it stays that way.

I haven't seen many posts on IT layoffs so I hope it did not hit us as hard as some other groups are affected. I joined about 6 months ago so I really do not know much about Centene but all of this is fairly stressful.
