**PSA** Oracle Employee Doormat Principle Defined

Numerous inane questions on this MB indicate a pressing need for a refresher on the Oracle Doormat Principle.

From the visionary post:
_____________

Take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself if you fall into this category. Remember that acceptance is the first step toward recovery. Ref @OP+1gWNWn0O

Just like those in bad relationships where one partner repeatedly walks all over the other, Oracle employees continue to allow themselves to be cr^pped on. Those remaining at the company must have really low self-esteem, cowering away waiting for the axe to fall instead of taking their lives and careers into their own hands. Pathetic.

  • they lower your pay... Thank you sir, may I have another!
  • they cut your benefits... Thank you sir, may I have another!
  • they lie to you... Thank you sir, may I have another!
  • they seemingly condone abusive management... Thank you sir, may I have another!
  • they make you do your job and the job of your ex-teammate who they just fired... Thank you sir, may I have another!

How about showing some self-respect for once in your pathetic lives. Drag yourself up by your bootstraps and GTFO!

it s a reminder of how Oracle's unhealthy management. Something is bad wrong when a company does not appreciate employees. Companies having major employee walkouts right now. Oracle may pay well but, the harassment, degrading and disrespect from mid level manager that think they are something they are not is unacceptable.
LE had a reason for "planting seeds" recently when he told about having to replace his management because Oracle had out grown them. After 3 decades of mid level VPs and managers only promoting people that are not as smart as they are is total reason Oracle is declining.
Outsourcing everything is because Oracle does not have the leadership needed. Product Undeveloped as in the NetSuite lawsuit and employees not able to get out of their subscriptions is moving towards an anti-trust suit because so many customers have come forward to this law firm . It's huge and I don't understrand why they haven't come forward before.
Employees have the education, training and experience yet many work decades without a raise ...while a mid level VP travels the world, unlimited vacation and apparently an unlimited expense account? Non business expense reimbursements are considered income to the IRS and not reporting that is considered Income tax evasion.
He apparently doesn't understand very much yet, employees are treated so badly.
Upper management should take turns working undercover on various teams and find out what's really going on. Accountability is everything in every company and more so with a large multi billion dollar company. I don't get why they don't realize how to manage.

I completely agree with this post. Don't tolerate the abuse and give them the middle finger on the way out the door. Move on to better opportunities. Everyone who I know that left Oracle were glad that they did. The only reason I stayed there and tolerated the abuse for 5 years was because they let me WFH and that used to be a big deal back in the day. A lot of companies are more WFH friendly nowadays, so that's not a perk anymore. The low salary and toxic environment simply isn't worth it.
