Was laid off today by my supervisor who read off a script and showed zero compassion or human decency.
The lack of empathy shown is truly disheartening when I’ve put so much of my life into this job.
I was removed from all teams group chats, future team meetings… all before a discussion had been had regarding what I’ll be doing in the next 2 months.
Was laid off today and was still on teams...I didn't notice anyone removed but will keep checking. I may have been the only one laid off who knows 🤷♀️

Likely today was your last day of work. They are saying December to avoid having to tip their hand on who and where. Most states require a 60 day notification for large layoffs. Search for WARN notifications in your state. For example “WARN Missouri notices”
They don’t want you poisoning the others!
WOW, Make it make sense!!! If they want you to continue working until December, you would think you'd need to be included as things changes on a daily basis. I am so sorry this happened to you.

I noticed that the people on my team affected were removed from teams too. I don’t understand why. If you’re continuing to work until Dec. wouldn’t you need to be included?
