Stumbled across this looking for the latest on Allstate—this is old news and wildly off. Allstate’s been fully remote for years, the corporate office shut down during COVID and was demolished. So no, there was no desk to walk by.

2nd worst “leader” I’ve ever worked under. (1st destroyed a healthy organization and it dissolved). She had her favorites. If you were not In Her clique she could give a sh$& about you. The day I was laid off she didn’t look at anyone as we were boxing up our stuff. Bi$:; walked right by me. She sent out the Corporate Relations BS email about the layoffs while we were still in the building. It was very degrading. None of her buddies were laid off. I think someone else i this forum said she was indecisive. I saw this SVP get bullied by a manager and back down. It makes me sick to think how much money she makes and will get at retirement.
She was an overpaid exec over customer service side of the company. She literally did nothing but hire the pi-s poor leadership that is currently in place there while doing nothing of value. She'd hop up on meetings and panels and flap her gums occasionally regurgitating the poisonous blue kool-aid of this company while lying to and misleading employees like the rest of the creatures at her level. I never thought much of her and she was irrelevant to me. Another seven figure POS thrown into the bin.

Meh, if you read the communication of her announcing her "retirement" it was worded like someone who was told she was retiring rather than choosing to. This was the same type of deal as Shapiro.
I thought it was long overdue. She filled that position in a wasted and ineffective way much too long doing nothing to better the company. The poster child of ineffective corporate America and a bona fide "yes sir" just riding the corporate wave for a higher overinflated paycheck. I bid a fond farewell Carla. Hopefully your retirement bears more fruit than your inept and ineffective 38 years with Allstate. Buh Bye!
