Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Fight for your job or take the money?

Got my layoff notice 2 weeks ago and EVP said it was due to efficiency and role was eliminated. No HR present…. Anyway come to find out dole is open (same function etc).

My last day is 12/6. Would you take the money and run or go back and fight?

Heard some in Friers org did this. (Anyone know if true?)

They don't want you. You should not want them. You can find better employment. Take the money. You lost your job. If you fight to keep your job - you will lose your severance and your job.

I plan on going public with this sh-t i am logging everyday if they let me go. Saving money so i can tell them to shove their severance up there a-s. I am not signing anything that keeps me quiet. Fu----g pos T-Mobile.

Take the cash while it's available. If you fight and win, only a matter of time for them to fire you and give you nothing. Rip the band aid off as hard as it maybe and move on. The package is decent(way better than VZ or att) and that's not me being a tmo fan boy...f tmo and it's entire c level. That being said, better times are ahead even if it doesn't seem like it now...

Why would anyone fight to stay here? I have seen people do it from previous rounds only to get laid off again less than a year later. Take the severance and run is what I would do if offered. There is no reason to be here, there are no promotions and more work has been out on everyone. If that sounds good to you then yeah go ahead and fight for it I guess

Guessing you meant to say "role" is open...I believe if a position is eliminated they cannot fill that same position title/description for 6 months. If there was a title change or anything different then hey can backfill, its a game they play. At any rate, this is really something only you can answer if you want to apply for it or not.

How long have you been in the workplace. To be blunt, you were terminated. At least you got some warning till 12/6.
