Stop laying people off! We already have plenty of projects we can't deliver on time and services we are barely able to keep up with because we simply lack the resources to do so. And by resources, yes, I mean people. We are struggling here and the leadership is planning to remove even more people from the equation?

We have 5 project managers and one engineer. So each project manager needs to create a project, as otherwise nothing to manage. THe project managers cannot decide which project is higher priority. Their project must be highest.
So the engineer ask the Project Director. The Project Director does not have a clue.
So the Director ask the 5 projector manager. Each one say their project is essential.
The Director then tells the Senior Director of the Engineer for ETD for the 5 projects.

want it to stop, leave for a better environment if you can find one
We haven't even identified the black feathered swan. There are many candidate for what it'll be. Maybe something we've not thought of yet? So, stopping isn't an option. Much more to come, in my opinion.
There's literally nobody to do many required tasks. It's a joke.
managers are failing their teams and the business by not trimming projects and or the roadmap to the available resource They seem to operate with cut jobs, don’t complain about the workload, and push the work onto already overloaded teams
Management needs to do their job of deciding which "projects" to continue.
If the future is just HAMR, many projects can stop, and people working on these projects will have more time to focus on main projects.
Do fewer projects with fewer people by picking the needed tasks and removing the useless projects. How would this sound?
P.S. No worries. It will not happen as management would need to make some decisions
I would say except for the support/manufacturing/marketing everything is redundant
First clarify what are the projects ..what’s the next groundbreaking product coming out . Don’t tell me the star wars disks
